Its home is the historic Castello del Valentino, granted to the school in the same year it was founded, alongside newer campuses built out as the university grew — a genuinely large institution today, with around 38,000 students and roughly one in five from outside Italy. Turin's own industrial history (FIAT, and a long-standing base of Italian manufacturing and automotive engineering) runs directly through the university's strengths.

Most Master's programmes admit on an open basis, but a handful of the more sought-after ones — Industrial Production Engineering, Technological Innovation, and specific English-taught tracks in physics and nanotechnology — select applicants, so a strong application matters more there than at a typical open-admission Italian degree. A large share of Master's-level teaching runs entirely in English.

Admission for international students follows the standard route: Universitaly pre-enrolment, a Declaration of Value or CIMEA comparability statement for your prior qualification, and — depending on programme — an entrance test or language requirement. Being in the same city as the University of Turin means our on-the-ground Turin knowledge (housing, arrival, settling in) applies here just as directly.
