Turin's own history as an industrial and engineering city (it's the historic home of FIAT and a long-standing centre of Italian manufacturing) shows up in the university's strength in the sciences and applied fields, alongside a well-regarded law faculty and one of Italy's older medical schools. The university also runs a growing number of English-taught degree programmes and exchange partnerships, reflecting a steadily internationalising student body.

Because the University of Turin is the one we support most closely, this is also the university where our on-the-ground knowledge goes furthest — not just the admissions process, but which faculties run which English-taught tracks, roughly how competitive different courses are, and what the first semester actually looks like day to day.

Admission for international students generally runs through the standard route: Universitaly pre-enrolment, a Declaration of Value or CIMEA comparability statement for your prior qualification, and — depending on faculty — an entrance test or a language requirement if you're studying in Italian. Turin's academic calendar follows the typical Italian pattern of two semesters, with most degree programmes structured around continuous assessment rather than one high-stakes exam at the end of the year.
